Basically, people would sign up promising to comment on other people's writing in exchange for the same. Might be a good way to encourage the reading of each other's works.

I see the point that the hosts want more people but open deadlines give me the feeling that I might be wasting my time submitting. Also, that I'm going to have to wait forever to find out how I did. The second thing is prizes for contests (talking about the one's on the contest page) What are people actually getting for winning? Anything? I see a lot of 'prize to be deturmined' stuff. It seems like for Writersco contests, there should at least be some kind of kickass badge for the winner or something.

2006-02-07 [Paz]: I like your idea for a weekly/monthly contest but seeing as there are very few members here right now it would be best if it was a monthly affair not weekly one (although you can go either way in this case). Also, not many members will see it if it has a 24 hour deadline and what if they log on 2 hours before the time is up? :) I like the idea of a contest that focuses more on reaching a deadline rather than giving a few weeks for a member to post something on their own time.

The only time I write fan fics is when I've got writers block, because it takes no thinking whatsoever to write them. They're usually poorly writen and always end up with some random character that is supposed to be the writer thrown in there. It just really bugs me.

2006-05-07 [Marten]: I stopped getting into other peoples characters around the age of eight, Robin Hood I believe was my last. I found it far more fun to create my own, since they thought along lines I understand. Of course, when I played Robin Hood, he thought along lines I understand, since there was no real character base behind him.
